I am pleased to announce the appointment of Dave Vergo as President of Reconditioning, one of the four operating units of Mauser Packaging Solutions (MPS). Dave joins our company today and will be based out of the MPS headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois. Dave will report directly to me.
Charles Veniez has elected to pursue other opportunities outside of MPS. Charles participated in the recruitment of Dave and will be working with him over the next few months to ensure a smooth transition. Charles joined Industrial Containers Services in 2014 as President and CEO and led the company through a robust organic growth plan and numerous acquisitions. I want to thank Charles for leading the transition to MPS and the flawless execution of the synergy strategy for the past year.
Dave Vergo is a Chicago-based executive with significant experience in the chemical and oil refining industries. His experience as a customer has provided him with significant exposure to Mauser Reconditioning and our business model. Dave has a strong track record of operational and commercial leadership with well-respected organizations such as Dow Chemical, Univar and Safety Kleen. Most recently, Dave was President of Safety-Kleen Environmental & Kleen Performance Products, a $1.2B P&L, where he implemented a multi-faceted transformational plan focused on improving the customer experience, driving organic revenue growth, driving margin management and improving operational productivity, and streamlining all business process from order to cash. During his career, Dave has been leaned on by large organizations where the lack of integration presented significant opportunities for overall business performance improvement. In addition to his professional background, Dave holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and an MBA from the Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.I am confident that you will enjoy Dave’s engaging personality and hands-on approach to problem solving.
Dave is the right leader to drive Reconditioning growth through disciplined, fast pace execution, and simultaneously complete its integration within the MPS global organization. Kurt Richardson (Chief Marketing Officer); Jerry Butler, Mike Pezant, Jose Colon, William Carroll (Regional Vice-President Operations); Kim Miller (EHS Director); Matt Sheridan (PMO); Chuck Ostrout (GM Questar); Ernest van den Boogerd (GM EMEA) and Guy Trepanier (GM and RVP Canada) will report directly to Dave.
