Safety of our employees is the most important priority at Mauser.
During the month of June, we have taken time across our enterprise to reinforce this priority. All our plant operations, and our office locations, will take time at some point during the month, to engage in activities that remind us of safety’s importance and remind us of ways that we can make sure our operations and activities are safe. I appreciate your participation and attention to these activities and initiatives.
Since Safety Month last year, we have reduced TRIR by 16.6% and reduced LTIR by 13%. These reductions are attributable to the daily commitment made by employees at every level of the organization to ensure a safe work environment.
As a Company, we continue to make significant CAPEX investments to improve the safety in our plants and locations. We are investing in safety training including our new hire safety training and the Safety Engagement Workshop for Supervisors. No matter what investments we make, or what we say or do to align our Company with the understanding that safety is a core, non-negotiable value, our employees must be committed to making safe acts in the workplace each day.
Please continue to be committed to a safe work environment and taking actions to improve. Your efforts are appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark Burgess
