When personal and workplace challenges become overwhelming, they can negatively affect various aspects of life.
Mauser Packaging Solutions supports its U.S. and Canadian1 employees by offering a comprehensive and easily accessible Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The Mauser U.S. EAP and Canadian EAFP are available to employees and their household members, regardless of healthcare benefits enrollment or dependent status. All services offered through these programs are completely confidential and designed to help you and your household members gain the support in format that is comfortable.
While many employees may be unaware of EAP services including counseling services, work-life support and legal and financial guidance; awareness is not the only reason these programs often go underutilized. Admitting to struggles can carry stigma, with fears that emotional difficulties may be perceived as mental illness, and that seeking help might be seen as a sign of weakness.
At Mauser Packaging Solutions, our most valuable assets are our people and your safety at work and in your personal life. To increase awareness of the work/life EAP and EFAP support services and available resources, and to further educate employees on identifying and navigating tough times, the upcoming Mauser Mental Health Awareness series will concentrate on stress and anxiety, addiction, relationships/domestic violence awareness, and suicide prevention.
1In Canada, this program is titled Employee and Family Assistance Program (EAFP). For the purpose of this article “EAP” refers to both the U.S. and Canadian programs unless specifically addressing the Canadian program.
Note: Similar programs may be offered in other countries through Company provided offerings or government healthcare systems. Check with your local Human Resources representative for available resources.
