As we enter cold and flu season, help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses by remaining vigilant and taking preventative measures.
At Mauser Packaging Solutions, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for our employees, particularly in the context of the current pandemic. We continue to monitor and adhere to federal, state and local guidelines and preventative measures to provide a safe work environment in our facilities.
Please be respectful by following the preventative measures outlined by the CDC to help mitigate the spread of viruses:
Practice social distancing
Continue to practice social distancing by maintaining six feet of distance from others when in groups of all sizes. As the holidays approach, choose smaller gatherings and leverage technology to visit virtually with elderly or at-risk family and friends. Minimize gestures, such as handshakes and hugs, that promote close contact.
Wear a face covering
Wear a face covering when around people who don’t live in your household, when unable to maintain distance, or when required by local guidelines. Choose a face covering that has two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric, completely covers your nose and mouth and fits snugly against the side of your face.
Practice good hygiene and cleaning habits
Wash your hands frequently. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable. Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Get a flu vaccine
Receiving a vaccine will reduce your venerability to flu viruses which have symptoms similar to COVID-19. While getting a flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19, it can protect you from becoming sick with flu and needing medical care.
Stay home when sick
Stay home from work and other public places if you experience symptoms of COVID-19 including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting and diarrhea. Isolate from others and leave your home only to seek medical attention.
